day 52

Today I am thankful for a nice long soak in the bath after a long day. All day I have been busy packing for holidays (yey!!!) and have now set off, staying at mum and dads on the way. Mum could see I was tired and ran me a nice lavender bath. I now feel totally relaxed and already feel like I am On holiday mode.

Today I am thankful for finding Darryn's shoe. It may be trivial, but I am so glad I didn't have to spend ages looking for it tomorrow. I would have never found it! The problem was that last thursday we had one of oscars friends coming over and I could not be bothered cleaning the house, so I got a washing basket (or 2) and put all our junk in it and tucked it safely out of view. Then I totally forgot what I had done and could not work out why so many items had gone missing. Time was slowly ticking by and we really needed to find his shoe (only 1 which made it even more frustrating) and tomorrow was the day I was going to have to turn the house upside down to go looking for it.


Ps..... Probably the thing I am most thankful for today is meeting my friends new little bub, so sweet an beautiful I had such a nice cuddle of her, I love newborn babies!!

Today I am thankful for flower buds. Outside our kitchen window we have a lovely tree, I think it's a camelia tree. At the moment it's got lots of buds all over it, so soon I guess it will be on full bloom. The buds are just the start of lovely things to come, they are the start of something to look forward to. They are small, but full of potential.

Today I am thankful for a snoring baby. I just carried Israel off to bed snoring. Not much in this world tops holding a sleeping baby.

Today I am thankful for jumpers. Today is the first chilly day of the year. The thing I like best about the first coolish day is that a whole new part of your wardrobe opens up and becomes possible to wear!! Usually just in time cause by the time the cool weather hits my summer wardrobe is looking a little bit worse for wear.

Today I am thankful for hens days!! We had a really nice day celebrating aimees upcoming nuptials. She has been a great friend for so many years and it will be sooooo amazing to see her get married next weekend. The best thing about the day was seeing her so happy!

Today I am thankful for family. We had a big family relo bash today and it was really nice to catch up with my cousins and second cousins. All the kids had grown up so much and the boys loved catching up with all the kids.
