Today I am thankful for tap water. It's been a hot day. When I woke up I thought about how blessed I am cause I didn't have to get up and walk for kilometers to get fresh water. Just in case you aren't feeling that thankful about fresh drinking water, here are some facts for you; 3.575 million people each year die from water related disease, that's about the population of Sydney. 84% of these deaths are children under the age if 14. When we take a 5 minute shower we use more water than a typical person living in a slum uses in a whole day. At any given time, half of the worlds hospital beds are occupied by patients suffering from water related disease. Visit www.water.org for more info.
